Rosberg retakes control of the championship
We barely saw him all weekend, and that suited Nico Rosberg just fine. A clean qualifying, keeping it out of the walls, and a solid getaway off the line were where he won this race. He did all he needed to do.
It might not have been a spectacular affair, but the pendulum in this world championship swings once more. Having put in some fairly dismal showings in Monaco and Canada, the German needed to recover. With Lewis Hamilton down in fifth after a weekend to forget, his championship lead is restored to 24 points. The Englishman has to do it all over again.
